Brazil' 2015 Coffee Crop seen Declining

BRASÍLIA—Brazil’s farmers will probably produce about 40 million bags of coffee in 2015, down 12% from last year and less than forecast by the country’s crop agency, according to the head of the National Coffee Council.

Drop in robusta coffee near-matches decline in arabica


The International Coffee Organization highlighted the drop in global robusta coffee production - which will nearly match the well-publicised decline in the arabica harvest – as the group revealed its first detailed estimate for 2014-15 output.

Cocoa prices ease as European grind volumes tumble


Cocoa futures eased after data showed Europe's cocoa grind ending 2014 on an even weaker note than investors had expected, undermined by prices which, while down from their September high, remained historically elevated.

European cocoa processors crushed 323,061 tonnes of cocoa beans in the October-to-December period, a third successive quarter of year-on-year decline, the European Cocoa Association said.
